TOUR OF THE AVENUE OF THE VOLCANOES
The tour of the Avenue of the Volcanoes begins in the city of Quito where you will see the precious city and visit the famous center of the world. Then you will visit the Cotopaxi National Park while on the route you will be able to admire other volcanoes such as the Pasochoa (4,199m), the Antisana (5,704m), Corazon (4,790 m) which is named Corazon because from a distance the two laterals of the summit form a heart when see from a distance from the northeast, the Illinizas (5,120 m), Atacazo (4,463 m), and the Ruminahui (4,712 m) when arriving to Ambato and the east toward Baños. At this stage you can admire the Tungurahua volcano known as the Neck of Fire. If the climate is right you can also see the magnificent Chimborazo, the highest peak of Ecuador. Making your way through small towns you will visit Pelileo and its artisanal market. Baños is located at the foot of the Tungurahua volcano and is surrounded by waterfalls and thermal waters. There are also multicolored fields and cultivations known for its natural diversity and cultural diversity until you get to Riobamba.

ASCENT TO THE CHIMBORAZO VOLCANO at 6.310 meters
The Chimborazo is the highest mountain of the Ecuadorian Andes and because of it being located on the equator; it is all the highest point on the center of the earth. Ascending to its summit will be a true accomplishment. In addition o adapting to the altitude, you must also be in great physical shape in order to overcome the 1300m climb from the Whymper refuge until the summit. The climb can take between 9 and 12 hours of hiking over glaciers. When you have reached its summit you will be one of the few who have been able to leave their mark on the highest point on the center of the earth.
The first person to reach the summit was the intrepid British explorer Edward Whymper. It is possible travel by car until the refuge at 4,800 meters which holds a fauna reserve where you can find llamas.
ASCENT TO THE COTOPAXI VOLCANO at 5.987 meters
You must enter the Cotopaxi National Park in order to reach the summit of the volcano of the same name which is also the second highest elevation in Ecuador and the tallest active volcano in the world. A perfect picture may be difficult but not impossible and many will be fortunate. A great altitude adaptation will be necessary to scale this volcano. Its nearly perfect cone shape has made it world renown. Ascending this peak is fast becoming a necessary requirement for all mountain climbers that wish to conquer the highest peaks. Its summit offers a spectacular landscape where you can see all the snow peaks of Ecuador.
The name of this volcano “Cotopaxi,” means the neck of the moon in Quechua which refers to the spectacular moonlight that is reflected at night giving the snow covered peak the appearance of a full moon.

ASCENT TO THE CAYAMBE SNOW PEAK at 5.790 meters
The Cayambe is the only volcano in the world that has perpetual snow and is locate on the equinoctial line. It is the third highest point in Ecuador and its summit was conquered by the English mountain climber Edward Whymper and the Carrel brothers. You can ski on its snows at an altitude of 5,500 m. Ascending this peak it’s technically easy, but because of its height it is suggest you be in good physical shape and to be adapted to the high altitude. Because of its difficult access it is not visited too often yet the adventurous climbers who do scale it are always impressed by its spectacular beauty which is why we invite all mountain climbers to take on this adventure.
