Guayaquil, counts with historic buildings, remodeled and ample boardwalks, plazas, parks, and neighborhoods that have transformed Guayaquil into an international and national tourist destination.  It also holds many festivals and international events.

Historic Center, Sculpture Culture Guayaquil

Historic Center of Guayaquil. The neighborhood of the Peñas is an interesting place with Guayaquil’s historical center with patrimonial buildings that date to the 19th century and the beginnings of the 20t.  You can also visit the Municipal Palace and the Clock Tower, the Malecon 2000, and the Estero Salado.

Historic Park Culture Guayaquil

At the park you can appreciate structures that represent the tradition of the coast from the beginnings of the 20th century.  Here you can find the house Julian Coronel, the territorial bank, the Lavayen-Paredes house (known as the Green House), and the Hospice Heart of Jesus; these have been saved as cultural patrimony and serve as a marker for the reconstruction of the Guayaquil urban life.

Botanical Garden Nature Guayaquil

The Botanical Garden is found in the city of Guayaquil.  It holds approximately 324 species of vegetables that can be observed in their natural habitat.  You can also find mature trees, fruit trees, ornamental plants, and exotic plants.  There are also 73 bird species and 60 butterfly species year round.  It also has 3 permanent expositions: Orchids (more than 50 species), Valdivia (minerals, rocks, and precious stones) and medicinal plants.

Churute Mangrove Ecologic Reserve Nature Guayaquil

IT is located in the province of Guayas.  Four species of mangroves compose this forest which arouses the curiosity of those who visit it.  You can see red, black, jeli, and white mangroves along with orchids.  There are also a variety of birds (for more information visit the observation of Avi-Fauna).  The Churute Mangrove Ecologic Reserve is the only natural area of the national system of protection that includes:

            -Mangrove ecosystem; the continental coast
            -A show of a marsh estuary; the main estuary in the gulf of Guayaquil
            -A dry and tropical forest

Nobol Religion Guayaquil

Nobol is a much visited place by international and international tourists.  Regarding religious tourism, the person who the Nobol people identify with is the Saint Narcisa de Jesus.  It is around her life and work that Nobol has structured its patrimonial tourism.  Here you can find the Sanctuary of the Saint Narcisa de Jesus that counts with hundreds of devout daily.

 

Surf Adventure Guayaquil

Towards the north of Playas you can find el Faro, EL Pelado, Engabao, and Puerto de Engabao that have 14 places to surf and realize other water activities.   This is a surfer’s paradise where the waves are ideal for surfing.

Puna Island Avi-Fauna Guayaquil

In the mangrove zone of the Puna Island there exist more aquatic and marine species than those that visit the island.  It is known to have the most important population of magnificent Frigate birds, occidental pelicans, and Sula nebouxii.  Although there are no specific numbers, it is assumed that over 20,000 aquatic species reside here.

 

Churute Mangrove Avi-Fauna Guayaquil.

There are 264 species of birds registered here on the reserve that belong to 59 families and 7 subfamilies.  50 are migratory aquatic bird species important to international conservation that are found in the mangrove and estuary areas.  The rest of the animal life is known including such as the guanta, guatusa, howling monkeys, tigers, bottle nosed dolphins, and ant eaters.  You can also find a bird that is found at risk of extinction called the Canclon.

 

Playas y Posorja Sun and Beach Guayaquil

Playas. At the beaches you can feel the fresh marine breeze and it has excellent hotel infrastructure with its services that makes the visit and stay enjoyable to thousands of tourists.

Posorja. Posorja is considered one of the principal bathing beaches and offers its visitors extense beaches long with peaceful natural environment.

Puna Island and Beaches of Villamil Sun and Beach Guayaquil

Puna Island. Here is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Ecuadorian coast; it is situated with the Gulf of Guayaquil.  It is the closest on the continent.  Here you can enjoy much peace and relaxation.  The Punaes were a semi-nomadic tribe, they knew the influence of the moon on the tides and used this knowledge for fishing.

Beaches of Villamil.Its beaches are a true spectacle because of its privileged tropical climate.  The beach season is year round here.  Natural landscapes are characterized by intense vegetation of dry forest.
